During the dissection will be visualised bone, muscle, vascular and nerve structures of the following areas:

  • Neck, sternocleidomastoid muscle, nerve-vascular bundle of the neck and carotid artery, jugular veins
  • Common carotid artery, external, internal and their branches (in particular lingual and facial)
  • Submandibular area, digastric muscle and interdigastric loggia
  • Submandibular loggia, facial nerve, submandibular gland, lingual nerve and submental artery
  • Floor of the mouth, tongue, mylohyoid muscle
  • Chick area, masseter and buccinator muscles, Bichat’s bulla
  • Upper maxilla, nasal spina, nasal fossas and septa
  • Inferior margin of the orbit, infraorbitary nerve
  • Lateral wall of maxilla, tuberosity area, pterygo-maxillary notch and pterygoid process
  • Maxillary sinus, sinus mucosa, sinus ostium to nasal cavity
  • Temporal and pterygo-maxillary loggias, zygomatic process
  • Palatal artery and hole, naso-palatal hole and bundle
  • LeFort I osteotomy looking at the whole sinus and nasal cavity from above
  • Mandibula, symphiseal area, mental and genial muscles, external and internal aspect of the mandibular
bone, external oblique line, mental foramen, mental and inferior alveolar nerve
